Jan 18-20, 2019 Partners meet in Estonia to discuss ideas about the seed database

On January 18-20, 2019 representatives of all partners met in Sae Farm (in North Estonia) mainly to discuss the development of seed savers database. It was necessary to gather expectations, ideas and opinions on the purpose and structure of a database where information about heritage seeds and their collectors would be stored and also where data from heritage seed expeditions could be entered.

Agreements were reached, many new propositions were provided to our database developer, and also existing example of the successfully used Danish database was presented and considered. Other matters like administrative issues and planning of local legislation seminars were discussed as well, and we parted with many new ideas and lots of new tasks to be done until the next meeting, says Daina Mūrniece - coordinator of database working group.
