Visiting Keuda in-situ herb collection in Finland 23.08.2019
NGO Maadjas member Annika Michelson visited the Finnish Genetic Clone Collection meeting at Keuda vocational and educational training center in Mäntsälä 23rd August 2019. The in-situ herb collections are located in high beds and kept according to organic cultivation methods. They make new compost annually. Unfortunately there came a very heavy rain during the presentation of the herb plant area, so we could not investigate the plants as much as we would have liked. During the meeting we got also informed about different plant diseases, general information about the Finnish Plant Genetic Resources Program and cultural historical information about Saari Estate where the educational organisation is located. We got also the chance to visit their hop collection.
