Presentation in seed swap event in Vilnius 16.02.2019

While the Lithuanian partners were away in Denmark attending The Seed Savers course, organised by the Danish partners, a fellow seed saver agreed to make a presentation during the largest seed swap event “natural agriculture fair” in Lithuania. A presentation was prepared mainly concerning a topic of seed legislation, including, what do these recent changes in legislation mean in practice. Also, a need for preserving old local heritage varieties was highlighted as well joint collective effort needed to do this. Also the importance of agrobiodiversity for traditional cuisine, future food safety and food sovereignty were also discussed.
