Nordic Heritage Cereal Seminar in Denmark 26-28.6.2019

NGO Madjas member Annika Michelson participated in the Nordic Heritage Cereal Conference in Denmark at  Kalø Agricultural School 26-28th June 2019. The Nordic Heritage Cereal Conference is being kept annually in one Nordic country. Summer 2019 it was arranged by the CERERE project. The project Cereal Renaissance in Rural Europe is working on embedding diversity in organic and low input food system. At the seminar there was a huge field trial of cereals from both Europe and from other places in the world. Standing at the field trial field one understands how many differnt heritage cereals there are and how few of them we actually used for food today. The seminar gave valuable information and good posibilities to meet people working with heritage grains from countries all over Europe. At the conference was also representants from USA and Canada.
